Eddie Minshull - Chairman
Joining Gnodal in 2010, Eddie brings a wealth of senior executive experience to the Gnodal management team. His previous senior positions at Juniper Networks, Alcatel and at Compaq have developed a strong customer-centric approach to business. This approach will be an asset to both company and customers alike.
Fred Homewood - CTO
Fred has been a chip designer for over 20 years; he specializes in the development of processors and communication systems. Fred founded Gnodal in 2007 to develop standards-based, high-performance, low-power interconnects for large data centres. Previously, Fred was a design manager at Quadrics, responsible for ASIC projects. He also worked at STMicro, first as an architect for VLIW processor design, and later as chief architect of the ST200 processor family. Additionally, Fred was an architect at Inmos, where he helped to develop the first floating point process chip, the T800 Transputer.
Tony Ford - COO
In a career extending over 20 years in High Performance Computing, Tony has a track record of delivering leading networking products to some of the world's most demanding customers. Prior to co-founding Gnodal, his experience in this challenging field range from architectural design and planning, managing software, applications and manufacturing teams, to overall responsibility for field system deployment of some of the world's largest, fastest computer systems. During this time he has worked with many of the laboratories and major data center sites in the US and Europe, and has developed business relationships with decision makers and leading developers at those sites and with channel partners.
Mike Cartwright - CFO
Mike joined Gnodal in early 2011 to bring senior strategic financial skills to the business. For over 25 years he has held board level financial and general management roles in a wide variety of businesses and sectors including communications, information technology, logistics and biotechnology. Mike has a proven track record of effective and entrepreneurial financial and commercial management of significant international businesses.
Adrian Beecroft - Non-executive Director
Adrian Beecroft brings huge boardroom experience. He has served on the boards of more than 20 public and private companies, among them Computacenter and Alkane Energy. He also brings considerable scientific know-how. Adrian is a sponsor of the Beecroft Institute of Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at Oxford University. He is also a joint sponsor of the Oxford Academy, a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and an Honorary Fellow of the Queen's College, Oxford.
Norman Fiore - Non-executive Director
Joining Gnodal in 2009, Norman Fiore is an experienced technology investor with significant European, East Coast and Silicon Valley investing experience and relationships. Now a partner at Dawn Capital, Norman was a Partner (and subsequent owner via a MBO) of the Reuters Greenhouse Fund, Reuters Plc's global technology VC fund. At Reuters, Norman co- managed one of the largest corporate technology funds that invested over $450M in over 80 early, mid and late stage companies globally. Norman is a graduate of Stanford University with dual BS and BA degrees in Engineering and Economics and holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD business school.
